Samsung Galaxy F42 5G smartphone was revealed in Indian market as the new budget 5G device from the South Korean Tech Giant. The handset comes with a MediaTek octa-core chipset, 90Hz fast refresh rate, triple rear camera, big battery, and fast charging. The company also unveiled the Galaxy M52 5G as the new upper mid-range 5G phone.

As for the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy F42 5G features a 6.6 inches LCD display with Infinity V-shaped notch, Full-HD+ ( 1080 X 2400 pixels ) resolution. In terms of dimensions, the device measures 167.2 x 76.4 x 9.0mm and weighs 203 grams. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered with a MediaTek Dimensity 700 octa-core 5G chipset that cones coupled with Mali G52 MC2 GPU. 

In terms of camera, the Samsung Galaxy F42 5G boasts a triple rear camera that includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor, a 5-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, the phone sports an 8-megapixel front-facing camera under the waterdrop notch. The smartphone is running on Android 11 OS operating system with One UI 3.1 on top.

The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G comes equipped with a 5000mah battery and supports 15W fast charging. For connectivity, the phone includes 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS, USB TYPE-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It is accompanied by up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage that can be extended via a microSD card slot.

Samsung Galaxy F42 5G comes in two configurations including 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at 20,999 while the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage option costs Rs. 22,999. The smartphone comes in two color options namely Matte Aqua and Matte Black. The handset will go for sale starting from October 3 via Flipkart, Samsung.com, and other offline stores as well.
