Infinix Zero 5G smartphone has officially debuted in Nigerian market. This is the company’s first 5G handset and is also set to release in India on February 14. The device is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC and features a 120Hz display. In addition to this, the smartphone houses a 5,000mAh battery which has 33W fast charging support. Furthermore, the 5G device has a triple rear camera set up.

Infinix Zero 5G features a 6.78-inch full-HD+ IPS LTPS display with 1,080×2,460 pixels of resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC, 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. A microSD card can be used to expand the internal storage of the handset to up to 256GB. On the front software, the phone operates on XOS 10, which is based on Android 11 OS out of the box. 

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Infinix Zero 5G has a triple back camera unit as well as a quad rear flash. The camera system equips a 48-megapixel primary sensor with 30X zoom, 13-megapixel secondary sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor. Up front there is a 16-megapixel sensor with dual front flash for selfies and video calling. The cameras are capable of recording 4K footage at 30fps. The handset comes with a 5,000mAh battery which also has 33W fast charging support. 

As per the company, the battery is supposed to provide up to 22 hours of playing time and up to 27 days of standby life.  The new Infinix handset also includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometrics. Onboard sensors include a light sensor, a barometer, a gyroscope, a g-sensor, an e-compass, and a proximity sensor. The phone’s connectivity options include 5G, FM radio, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, GPS, OTG, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port.

As per the Nigerian e-commerce website the Infinix Zero 5G is listed for NGN 169,500 which translates to Rs 30,400 for the single 8GB RAM with 128GB storage model. The device will be available for purchase in India through Flipkart. The smartphone will be available in three colour options of Cosmic Black, Horizon Blue, and Skylight Orange. The company has not officially confirmed the pricing and is yet to declare its availability.
