Xiaomi-owned, Redmi is gearing up to release its Redmi K50 series of handsets in China on February 16. Now, the brand has officially teased that the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition will feature a Sony IMX686 primary sensor and a Sony IMX596 sensor at the front. The device will also sport a 120Hz OLED display and mechanical gaming triggers as well as run Android 12 OS.

The Redmi K50 Gaming Edition will arrive as a successor to the current K40 Gaming Edition in China. The smartphone is speculated to feature a 6.67-inch OLED display, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, a triple rear camera module with RGB lighting, a 64MP primary camera, and pack a 4,700mAh battery with 120W fast-charging support.

The Redmi K50 Gaming Edition may bear a 6.67-inch OLED screen with a QHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 480Hz touch sampling rate. It will come with trigger buttons for an enhanced gaming experience and weigh around 210gm. The smartphone is said to feature a punch-hole design with rounded corners and slim bezels. At the back, it will flaunt a triple camera setup.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Redmi K50 Pro Gaming Edition is likely to flaunt a triple rear camera module comprising a 64MP Sony IMX686 primary sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide snapper, and a 2MP depth lens. For selfies and video calls, it has a 20MP Sony IMX596 camera on the front. On the front software, it should boot the latest Android 12-based latest MIUI 13 out of the box.

Under the hood, the Redmi K50 Pro Gaming Edition will reportedly draw power from a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. the RAM and storage details are not clear at the moment but it is said to pack a 4,700mAh battery with 120W fast-charging support. For connectivity options, the smartphone should support Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and 5G.

The official pricing and availability details of the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition will be announced by the Xiaomi-owned brand at the time of launch on February 16. However, according to a previous leak, the smartphone will be priced at around CNY 3,499 (roughly Rs. 41,500).
