Micromax is reportedly working on a new IN-series smartphone, called the IN 2. In the latest development, the specifications and price of the phone have surfaced online courtesy of tech enthusiast Ishant Raj. As per the leak, the device will feature a 90Hz LCD screen, a MediaTek Helio G88 chip, a 48MP main camera, and a 5,000mAh battery. It could be priced between Rs. 10,000-11,000.

The IN 2 will be the latest addition to Micromax's portfolio of budget-range smartphones. It will be the company's second device of the year, following the IN Note 2. Although the company is yet to announce the device's launch date, it is expected to happen soon. The company hopes to make waves in India's budget segment with its aggressively priced feature-packed phones.

The Micromax In 2 will likely bear a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The smartphone may feature a punch-hole design with a thick bottom bezel and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The rear panel will be made of polycarbonate and sport a triple camera unit.

Under the hood, the Micromax IN 2 will draw juice from a MediaTek Helio G88 chipset, which could be coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. On the front software, it will boot Android 11 OS out of the box. For connectivity, the smartphone should offer support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a Type-C port.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Micromax IN 2 will be equipped with a triple rear camera arrangement, including a 48MP primary shooter, a 2MP secondary sensor, and a 2MP tertiary lens. Up front, it will sport an 8MP selfie snapper. The smartphone will pack a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support.

The Micromax IN 2 is tipped to carry a price-tag between Rs. 10,000-11,000. However, the official pricing and availability details of the smartphone will be announced by the tech company at the time of its launch. The handset was launched in Black and Brown colour options.
