OnePlus is gearing up to launch a new Nord series smartphone, the called Nord CE 2 Lite, in India. In the latest development, key specifications of the device have surfaced online courtesy of tipster Yogesh Brar. As per the leak, it will neither have the company's signature alert slider nor an in-display fingerprint sensor. The company is yet to reveal the phone's official launch date.

We first caught wind of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite smartphone earlier this month. If the present leak is to be believed, it will be the first Nord series phone in India to not have an in-display fingerprint reader. Also, this Lite version of the Nord CE 2 will be an "India-first model," meaning it will arrive in India before any other market.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite should bear a 6.59-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and an aspect ratio of 20:9. It will not feature the brand's signature alert slider. The smartphone will sport a punch-hole design, slim bezels, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It will have a triple camera unit on the rear.

Under the hood, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite will be fueled by an octa-core Snapdragon 695 SoC, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. On the front software, it would boot Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 out of the box. For connectivity, the handset will offer support for 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a Type-C port.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite will flaunt a triple rear camera setup, including a 64MP primary sensor, a 2MP depth snapper, and a 2MP macro lens. Up front, it will sport a 16MP selfie shooter. The smartphone would pack a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support.

The official pricing and availability of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite will be announced by the company at the time of its launch. However, going by the leaked specifications and features, we expect it to be priced below Rs. 20,000. The smartphone is said to be offered in Bahamas Blue and Grey Mirror colour options.
