Chinese tech company, OnePlus has launched a new "Extreme Edition" variant of the 10 Pro model in China. It is offered in a Panda White color with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of onboard storage, an upgrade over the currently available storage options. The new variant joins the Volcanic Black and Emerald Forest variants that were introduced last month.

OnePlus 10 Pro smartphone was launched in China on January 11 in two colorways and three configurations of 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/256GB. Now, the 10 Pro Extreme Edition provides an option of 512GB built-in storage. This new variant will appeal to power users who keep a lot of apps and games and prefer 4K or 8K video recording since 10 Pro doesn't support storage expansion.

The OnePlus 10 Pro Extreme Edition bears a 6.7-inch QHD+ (1440x3216 pixels) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,300-nits of peak brightness, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone sports a left-aligned punch-hole design with curved edges and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Dimensions-wise, it weighs 200.5g and has a thickness of 8.6mm.

Under the hood, the OnePlus 10 Pro Extreme Edition draws power from a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, coupled with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. On the front software, it boots Android 12-based ColorOS 12.1 out of the box. For connectivity options, it offers support for Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, 5G, GPS, and a Type-C port.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the OnePlus 10 Pro Extreme Edition flaunts a triple rear camera setup, comprising a 48MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, an 8MP (f/2.4) telephoto shooter, and a 50MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens. On the front, the smartphone has a 32MP (f/2.4) selfie shooter. The handset packs a 5,000mAh battery with 80W wired and 50W wireless fast-charging support.

For official pricing and availability in China, the OnePlus 10 Pro Extreme Edition carries a price-tag of CNY 5,799 (roughly Rs. 68,000) for the sole 12GB/512GB configuration. The smartphone is offered in a Panda White color. The handset is currently available for pre-ordering and will go on sale from March 1 onward.
