Chinese mobile phone manufacturer, POCO is gearing up to launch the M4 Pro 5G model in India. In the latest development, the company has confirmed that the handset will make its debut on February 15. It was launched globally last November 2021. As for the key highlights, it features a 90Hz IPS LCD display, a MediaTek Dimensity 810 chip, a 50MP dual camera unit, and a 5,000mAh battery.
The M4 Pro 5G will be the latest addition to POCO's portfolio of mid-range devices in India. It is tailor-made for an Indian crowd that loves feature-packed cost-effective handsets and has similar specifications to that of its cousin, the Redmi Note 11T 5G. The brand will be hoping to strengthen its position in the burgeoning segment of mid-range 5G smartphones in the country.
The POCO M4 Pro 5G comes with a 6.6-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2460 pixels) IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The handset features a punch-hole cut-out on the top-center, a prominent bottom bezel, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the rear, it has a full-width horizontal camera bump.
Under the hood, the POCO M4 Pro 5G draws juice from a MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor. The India-specific model will have up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of onboard storage. At the heart, it boots Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 out of the box. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone supports 5G, Bluetooth 5.1, dual-band Wi-Fi, and a Type-C port.
In terms of optics, the POCO M4 Pro 5G is equipped with a dual rear camera setup, including a 50MP (f/1.8) primary snapper and an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens. Up front, it sports a 16MP (f/2.45) shooter for selfies and video calls. The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support.
The official pricing and availability information of the POCO M4 Pro 5G in India will be announced by the Chinese tech company at the time of its launch on February 15. It will be up for grabs through e-commerce platform website Flipkart. We expect the smartphone to be priced at around Rs. 16,000. It will be offered in Black, Blue, and Yellow color options.
