Chinese tech company, Vivo will start the sale of its T1 5G handset in India today via Flipkart at 12pm. It was announced in the country last week and carries a starting price-tag of Rs. 15,990 for the base 4GB/128GB model. As for the key details, the smartphone features a 50MP primary camera, a 120Hz LCD display, a Snapdragon 695 5G processor, and a 5-layer cooling system.

Vivo is fast expanding its portfolio of affordable 5G handsets in India to take on rivals like Samsung and Xiaomi. Its latest offering, the T1 5G, is claimed to be the slimmest 5G smartphone in the segment measuring at 8.25mm. The handset is also touted to be the fastest device to date in the category with an AnTuTu score of over 4,00,000.

The Vivo T1 5G comes with a 6.58-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2408 pixels) IPS LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 240Hz touch sampling rate. The smartphone features a waterdrop notch design with rounded corners, a noticeable bottom bezel, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. At the rear, it has a triple camera module.

Under the hood, the Vivo T1 5G is fueled by a Snapdragon 695 5G processor, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. On the front software, the smartphone boots Android 12-based Funtouch OS 12 out of the box. For connectivity, it offers support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, 5G, GPS, and a Type-C port.

In terms of optics, the Vivo T1 5G sports a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, a 2MP (f/2.4) macro lens, and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth shooter. For selfies and video calls, it has a 16MP (f/2.0) front-facing camera. The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support.

For pricing and availability, the Vivo T1 5G costs Rs. 15,990 for the 4GB/128GB variant, Rs. 16,990 for the 6GB/128GB model, and Rs. 19,990 for the top-tier 8GB/128GB variant. The color options available are Rainbow Fantasy and Starlight Black. The smartphone is set to go on sale today via e-commerce platform website Flipkart at 12pm.
