Huawei’s first smartphone which comes with a 108MP rear camera has been launched in Malaysia on March 11. However, it isn’t a flagship device, the handset called Huawei Nova 9 SE. The smartphone has a 90Hz display and centric punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. It also comes with mid-range specs including a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset, 8GB of RAM, and a 4,000mAh battery. 

The Huawei Nova 9 SE comes with a 6.78-inch display which comes with 1080 x 2388 pixels resolution. The screen carries a 90Hz refresh rate, a 270Hz touch sampling rate, and 16.7 million colors. Under the hood, the smartphone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset along with Adreno 680 GPU. The handset runs on Android 12 Operating System with EMUI 12 on the top. For memory, it comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

On the camera front, Huawei Nova 9 SE features a quad-camera setup on the rear including a 108MP primary sensor with an f/1.9 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with an f/2.2 aperture, a 2MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture, and a 2MP macro sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. On the front side, it gets a 16MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture. It is powered by a 4,000mAh battery which supports Huawei’s own SuperCharge at 66W. 

In terms of connectivity options, the Huawei Nova 9 SE features 4G LTE, Dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5, NFC, and USB Type-C. Unfortunately, there’s no 3.5mm audio jack. The fingerprint sensor is mounted on the side. Other sensors are an ambient light sensor, and compass, gravity sensor. Talking about measurement, the dimensions on the smartphone are 164.64 x 75.55 x 7.94mm and weighs 191 grams.

For official pricing and availability, the Huawei Nova 9 SE has been priced at Rs. MYR 1,099 (approximately Rs. 20,000) for the single 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage. You can pre-order the Huawei Nova 9 SE from today. The pre-order customers will get a Huawei FreeLace neckband style earphone for free worth MYR 379 (approximately Rs. 6,900). It is available in three color options, i.e. Crystal  Blue, Midnight Black, and Pearl White.
