Chinese tech giant, Xiaomi has launched a new, massive TV, the Redmi MAX 100", in China. As the name suggests, it is 100-inch in size and is the biggest TV from the company to date. It is priced at CNY 19,999 (roughly Rs. 2.39 lakh) and will be up for grabs in China from April 6. The company is yet to announce anything about its India debut.

With the Chinese TV market getting interesting lately with brands vying for the lead, Xiaomi's latest offering will surely ramp up the competition. The Redmi MAX 100" arrives as a successor to the MAX 98" that was launched last year 2021. With support for IMAX Enhanced and FreeSync, the Smart TV is expected to entice those looking for an immersive television experience and gaming aficionados alike.

The Redmi MAX 100" bears a 100-inch 4K (3840x2160 pixels) IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and 700-nits of peak brightness and support for HDR10+ support, Dolby Vision, AMD FreeSync, and IMAX Enhanced. The Smart TV features a conventional rectangular screen with slim bezels and an all-metal frame.

The I/O ports on Redmi MAX 100" include two HDMI 2.0 ports, one HDMI 2.1 port, two USB ports, and an Ethernet port. For wireless connectivity, it offers support for Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 6, and infrared. For audio, it packs 30W speakers with DTS-HD, Dolby Atmos, and Dolby Digital Plus support.

Under the hood, the Redmi MAX 100" is powered by a quad-core Cortex A73 processor, paired with ARM Mali-G52 MCI GPU, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage. At the heart, The Smart TV runs on MIUI TV and offers support for far-field voice, Xiao AI assistant, and Xiaomi AIoT ecosystem.

The Redmi MAX 100" has an auto low latency mode (ALLM) technology to enhance the gaming experience. For official pricing and availability the Smart TV is priced at CNY 19,999 (around 2.39 lakh). It is currently up for pre-orders in China and will be available for purchase there from April 6.
