K-Pop girl group, BLACKPINK again scored an amazing achievement through their latest song , " Pink Venom ." Quoting from the Soompi page , Saturday September 10, 2022, recorded on September 9 local time, the UK's Official Charts (the chart that is equivalent to the US Billboard chart) announced that BLACKPINK's latest hit song "Pink Venom" successfully stayed in the top 40 of the Official Singles Chart for three consecutive weeks. 

Having previously debuted at No. 22 last month, “Pink Venom” is currently at No. 40 for this week's chart. With this impressive achievement, "Pink Venom" became the first song by any female K-Pop artist in history to spend three weeks in the top 40 of the Official Singles Chart. Not only that, BLACKPINK also made another record with "Pink Venom". 

The latest single by YG Entertainment's girl group, managed to reach #1 on the iTunes 'Top Songs' chart in a total of 78 regions worldwide, including some of the world's largest music markets, such as the US, Germany, UK, France, Canada, Australia, and Brazil. With this, "Pink Venom" broke the record for a song by a girl group in history with the most #1 hits on iTunes. The record was previously held by BLACKPINK's own song, "How You Like That" which has reached #1 in 77 different regions. 

The song "Pink Venom" itself is a pre-release single from the group's upcoming second studio album 'BORN PINK' which is scheduled for release on September 16. The song "Pink Venom" was officially released along with the music video on Friday, August 19, 2022.  "Pink Venom" is a song that combines various genres, such as hip-hop, pop rap, dance, and EDM combined with traditional Korean instruments. 

The song was written by Teddy and Danny Chung and composed by Teddy, 24, R. Tee, and Ido. In the music video, "Pink Venom" looks majestic with the music of the traditional Korean instrument, Geomungo. This is also coupled with the impressive  stage presence shown by Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa, as well as outstanding vocals, raps, and dances.

To date, the music video for "Pink Venom" has been viewed more than 276 million times on YouTube. Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is currently preparing to release their second full album 'BORN PINK' featuring the new title track “Shut Down” on September 16.
