BTS's Jin said goodbye to military service (conscription) to ARMY via J-Hope's phone during a speech at the 2022 MAMA event on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. Jin also continued his speech by giving a message to ARMY, “ It's getting cold, so please be careful not to catch a cold. Don't get sick, stay healthy. ”.  Being a very touching moment, Jin also conveyed the message that he would not appear before ARMY and would soon be enlisted in the military. " I won't be appearing in public for the foreseeable future. 

But I will come back with good music as soon as possible. I will enlist safely. Thank you, " said Jin. Previously on November 4, 2022, Jin filed for cancellation of his mandatory military enlistment because he still had to complete promotions for his solo single 'The Astronaut'. 

Jin was a guest star at the band Coldplay's concert in Argentina. Last November 24, South Korean media reported that Jin BTS will enlist on November 13, 2022 at the Yeoncheon Recruitment Training Center in Gyeonggi-do. The news has also been confirmed by the local military and industry.

Meanwhile, BTS won a total of 10 awards at MAMA 2022 namely 'Top 10 Worldwide Fan Choice', 'Best Male Group', 'Worldwide Icon of The Year', 'Artist of The Year', and 'Album of The Year' for album Proof. Then there is J-Hope who managed to bring home the 'Culture & Style' and 'Most Popular Male Artist' awards.
