Super Junior's Kim Heechul drew criticism after talking about Cha Eun Woo in his live broadcast. The Super Junior personnel are considered to have described Cha Eun Woo as a rough man. As a kpop idol who has been in the Korean entertainment industry for a long time, Super Junior's Heechul didn't hold back from voicing his opinion.

He made his debut as a member of Super Junior in 2005 and has never experienced a cancel culture. However, Super Junior's Heechul reaped controversy after holding a live broadcast in a drunken state on Friday February 10, 2023. The reason is that he said Cha Eun Woo has a personality that is the opposite of his appearance.

Momo TWICE's ex-girlfriend appeared on her friend's live broadcast, who is an Afreeca TV streamer, BJ Choi. Heechul originally talked about former Super Junior's Kangin as a fighter. He then alluded to Cha Eun Woo and claimed to know the ASTRO group personnel closely. "I am very close to Eunwoo.

He is very handsome, but really a manly man." "If you talk about school bullying, he'll swear more than me." A number of Korean netizens considered that Heechul had described Cha Eun Woo as a rough and aggressive man. Moreover, he explained Cha Eun Woo's reaction when faced with a bully.

"I understand why he's popular, of course. He has an image on television, but if he hears about the school bully, he'll say, 'Hyung-nim, bring that bastard over here' and slap him. He's a manly man who likes exercise," concluded Super Junior's Heechul. Heechul's depiction of Cha Eun Woo suddenly drew criticism from Korean netizens.

Especially in the live broadcast, Heechul admitted to lying by pretending to be sick so he didn't appear at the opening ceremony of the Asian Games to attend a friend's birthday party. Not only that, Heechul also swore at the feminist site Yeoseong Shidae which he criticized through a song called Charm of Life.

Following the criticism he received, Super Junior's Heechul finally apologized via Instagram upload on Tuesday February 13, 2023. Even though he didn't mention his description of Cha Eun Woo. "Regardless of whether my thoughts were right or wrong, I apologize for speaking harshly and using harsh expressions, and acting hypocritically."

"I sincerely apologize to the fans who were hurt because of the trouble I caused. With this being the last one, I will make sure not to get involved in any other troubles in the future." "But no matter how I try to look back, I don't think I was wrong about condemning certain websites and school violence," Super Junior's Heechul wrote.
