The new boy group made by HYBE Labels, under the auspices of KOZ Entertainment, which is managed by solo singer Zico, has successfully become the talk of netizens recently. Quoting from Koreaboo on Wednesday May 24, 2023, BOYNEXTDOOR which consists of six members namely, Woonhak, Leehan, Riwoo, Sungho, Jaehyun, and Taesan has just released a song titled I'm Going Crazy on May 23, 2023.
The song I'm Going Crazy tells the refreshing story of teenagers who are going through a phase of falling in love with a girl. They experience a number of emotional upheavals ranging from feelings of hopelessness to deep homesickness, and opportunities where they can point out someone they like to their friends.
The plot in the music video ends with the six BOYNEXTDOOR members liking the same girl. The story plot for the song I'm Going Crazy fits perfectly with the concept and age of the members who are mostly teenagers. It's also a catchy song with a light melody. However, a number of netizens were less impressed with the selection of songs which they thought were too safe.
They also revealed the song sounded like it was sung by one person and was boring. " Is it just me, but this song sounds like it was sung by one person. They have the same type of voice ," said one netizen. " The song sounds bland and mediocre. I can't even hear what they are singing if I don't see the subtitles ," added another netizen.
" The song is pretty good in my opinion, but why do I hear like Zico singing it ," said another netizen. " This is the reason why rookie boy groups don't attract public attention anymore. They should pay more attention to their choice of songs ," commented another netizen. " This song sounds boring to me ," added another netizen.
Even though it received mixed responses from a number of netizens in South Korea . BOYNEXTDOOR is a rookie boy group who has fresh and cheerful talent and music according to the youth concept they present.
