NCT's Taeyong will collaborate with Red Velvet's Wendy on his solo debut album. SM Entertainment announced that the artist was confirmed to be one of the collaborators on the album. The two will combine through a track titled Move Mood Mode, one of the b-sides from Taeyong's debut album, SHALALA.
Move Mood Mode is a medium pop tempo song that contains lyrics about a person's feelings when they are with the person they love. Wendy's sweet vocals with Taeyong's rap became a highly anticipated song. This song was written and composed by Taeyong himself from seven songs that will be included in his first mini album.
Meanwhile, the agency has yet to announce the other six title tracks. Taeyong previously performed a rap part in one of Red Velvet's songs, Be Natural. At that time, Taeyong had not yet debuted as a member of NCT and was still joining as SMROOKIES.
Taeyong is confirmed to be the first member of the group to make a solo album this year. Taeyong is preparing for his first solo album to be released in June. Please give enthusiasm and anticipation," SM Entertainment said today, Thursday, May 4, citing Xsportsnews.
Taeyong released his first solo song Long Flight through the SM Station project in 2019. He showed his songwriting skills for NCT and several units. The NCT leader will release his first solo album on June 5. On the other hand, Wendy and Red Velvet are currently on a world tour for their fourth R to V concert in Asia and Europe.
