Female soloist from South Korea, Jeon Somi recently returned to the social media scene after responding to a fan who "threatened" to send a protest truck to her agency. One of the former IOI girl group personnel has just made a recent comeback through an album titled Game Plan with the title track "Fast Forward".

As part of one of her album promotion schedules, Jeon Somi specially held a listening party with her fans via Stationhead on August 15, 2023. During the event, the 22-year-old singer also read comments from fans. The listeners were then distracted when Jeon Somi read one of the comments asking the singer not to take a longer hiatus and threatening to send a protest truck if this happened.

In response to these joking comments, Jeon Somi responded with unexpected answers. "Somi, please, don't be on hiatus for too long, or we will send a protest truck,'" said Jeon Somi reading the comments. "That might work. Please do," he replied. The answer from Jeon Somi then suddenly went viral on social media which then made the singer have to clarify the video before many people misinterpreted it.

The singer of the song "XOXO" explained that he was just joking and asked fans not to send protest trucks because this method would not work. On the other hand, protest trucks are a way that fans in South Korea are currently doing to show their dissatisfaction or disappointment with the idol or agency.

Meanwhile, Jeon Somi's name has long been known in the music world after she managed to become the first winner in the Mnet survival program "Produce 101". Thanks to this event, Jeon Somi started her musical career by joining the IOI girl group.

After the contract with IOI ended, Jeon Somi was known to have signed a contract with a subsidiary of YG Entertainment, THEBLACKLABEL and debuted as a soloist by releasing the single "Birthday" on June 13, 2019. Two years later, in 2021, Jeon Somi released  XOXO's  first full-length album with the main single of the same name which made many achievements on various  prestigious music charts.
