BIGBANG's Daesung will return to star in a new variety show, as a judge in a trot music competition! Quoting from Soompi media, on Friday October 6, 2023, news media outlet MBN announced that Daesung had been selected as a judge on the latest trot competition show entitled, ' Living Legend '.
'Living Legend' is a survival music variety program that will select the top 7 active female trot singers who will represent South Korea at the 2024 Korea-Japan Trot Legend Championship. Even before its premiere, the program was already gaining attention because it was created by the same team behind hit shows like 'Miss Trot', 'Mr. Trot', and “Burning Trotman.”
Apart from appointing BIGBANG's Daesung as a judge, the program has also appointed Shin Dong Yup as MC, marking his debut as a trot music variety show host. Apart from BIGBANG's group activities, Daesung also shows his charm as a solo artist, exploring various genres such as rock, ballad, and trot.
In particular, his trot songs 'Look at Me, Gwisoon' and 'It's a Big Hit', are gaining a lot of attention in Korea. Apart from his music career, he has also appeared on popular variety shows such as 'Family Outing' and 'Night After Night' as a regular panel member.
