Girl's Day's Hyeri has finally officially become a free agent after parting ways with her agency, Creative Group ING. Quoting from Allkpop on Wednesday May 8, 2024, Hyeri has decided not to renew her contract with the ING Creative Group agency which has overseen her for five years.

Hyeri began her journey with Creative Group ING in April 2019. Hyeri and the agency built a relationship based on mutual trust over the past five years. During her time under the Creative Group ING agency, Hyeri was active in several drama projects and variety shows, such as 'Miss Lee', 'My Roommate Is a Gumiho', 'When Flowers Bloom, I Think of the Moon', and 'The All- Round Wife'.

Apart from that, she also appeared on the variety show 'Hyeri's Home Economics'. Apart from appearances on the small screen, Hyeri has starred in leading roles in feature films such as 'Monstrum' and 'Pansori Boxer'. He is currently waiting for the release of his latest films, namely 'Victory' and 'Tropical Night'.

Hyeri was also involved in several advertising contracts while under ING's Creative Group and until now this has strengthened her position as the "advertising queen". Meanwhile, Hyeri debuted as a member of the girl group Girl's Day in 2010.

She initially gained significant popularity through her appearance on the show 'Real Men'. She is widely known for her iconic character Sung Deok Sun in the Korean drama 'Reply 1988', which further established her career as an actress. After 'Reply 1988', he appeared as the main role in the dramas 'Entertainer' and 'Two Cops'.

In April, C-JeS Studio, the agency that houses Hyeri's ex-boyfriend, Ryu Jun Yeol, acquired 100% of Creative Group ING, sparking concerns over Hyeri's future activities, especially after their recent controversy with actress Han So Hey,

However, ING's Creative Group said at that time that the merger and acquisition occurred as part of a restructuring of financial accounting in preparation for the C-Jes listing. ING's Creative Group, which manages Hyeri, is a corporate advertising agency founded five years ago as just a subsidiary.

With her departure from Creative Group ING without signing a contract with a new agency, Hyeri became a free agent (an independent artist without agency management). Fans are also curious about Hyeri's next career direction.
