ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo was recently cast in the new Korean drama 'The Wonder Fools', previously known as 'The B Team'. "Cha Eun Woo has received a casting offer for the drama 'The Wonder Fools' and is currently in talks to appear, with good prospects," said Fantagio, Cha Eun Woo's agency, as quoted by Soompi on Friday July 26, 2024.
'The Wonder Fools' will tell the story of “flawed” superheroes who have no control over when their superpowers emerge. The drama is directed by Yoo In Shik, the director behind the successful dramas 'Vagabond', 'Dr. Romantic', 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo', 'Mrs. Cop', and many more, while the script will be written by writer Heo Da Joong who previously wrote the film 'Extreme Job'.
Previously, actress Park Eun Bin was also in talks to star in 'The Wonder Fools'. Park Eun Bin previously collaborated with director Yoo In Shik in 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo'. Throughout his career, Cha Eun Woo is known as a versatile entertainer. He made his debut as an actor in 2014 through a small role in the film 'My Brilliant Life'.
Because of his influence in the film, he was chosen as a model for the Korean cosmetic brand Shara Shara. In 2016, he debuted with the boy group ASTRO under Fantagio. Previously, he was the fourth trainee to be officially introduced with Fantagio iTeen Photo Test Cut.
Being active as an idol and singer did not make Cha Eun Woo leave the acting world. He continues to work through various drama projects, including 'ID: Gangnam Beauty', 'Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung', 'True Beauty', 'Island', and 'A Good Day to Be a Dog'.
If Cha Eun Woo accepts the offer to appear in 'The Wonder Fools', this will mark his comeback on the small screen after previously successfully starring in the drama 'Wonderful World'. Meanwhile, the production stage of 'The Wonder Fools' will be announced after the casting process is complete.
