BTS's Jin appeared as a torchbearer at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Coinciding with the celebration of Bastille Day in France, which falls on July 14, 2024. The BTS K-pop group member represented his country, South Korea.
BTS's Jin performance was broadcast live by local and international television stations. The Astronaut singer appeared wearing a white uniform with the serial number E109. He is one of 10 thousand torchbearers selected directly by the Paris 2024 Organizing Committee.
In particular, BTS's Jin will represent South Korea at the 2024 Paris Olympics to spread the message of "harmony" and "peace." Other torchbearers include world athletes, Holocaust survivors, relatives of victims of the Nice terror attack, astronauts, and sanitation workers.
Also present was legendary footballer Didier Drogba, who was a member of the French Resistance. As seen in a video circulating on social media, BTS's Jin carried the Paris 2024 Olympic torch at around 8:30 p.m. local time. His journey began from the Louvre Pyramid Museum in Paris.

At one point near the Louvre Pyramid Museum in Paris, fans of BTS's Jin sang and turned on the music from inside a truck while waiting for his arrival in the parade.
Now the call "JINLYMPICS" is being shouted by BTS's Jin fans from abroad on Twitter. Jin's appearance photo shared by the Twitter account @bts_bighit was also widely commented on by proud fans. When interviewed by Korean media MBC, BTS's Jin did not forget to thank ARMY (the name for fans of the KPop group BTS) who gave their support.
"I am truly honored to be able to participate in the torch relay. I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to all ARMYs, my beloved fans who made it possible for me to be a torchbearer," said the man whose real name is Kim Seokjin.
BTS's Jin becomes the first member of Kpop group BTS to complete his military service. A day after his discharge, BTS's Jin has been scheduled to hold a fan meeting. Recently, BTS's Jin was announced as the first global ambassador for French jewelry brand Fred Jewelry. He will also appear as a guest on the variety show 'It's a Good Thing To Rest Well'.
