The DUI (driving under influence) case experienced by BTS's Suga is not over yet. BigHit Music, BTS's agency , stated that the 31-year-old rapper is still facing additional investigations. As reported, BTS's Suga was questioned by the police because he was caught drunk driving. He came home from drinking at a bar near his house.

Then he went home on an electric  scooter. He fell while trying to park the electric scooter in front of his house. Coincidentally, there were police around, and immediately asked Suga to take an alcohol test. He was then fined and his scooter license was revoked.

BigHit immediately released an official statement regarding the incident. The agency that houses BTS and TXT apologized. A few moments later, Suga also apologized himself via Weverse. ARMY (BTS fans) thought the issue was over. But it wasn't. Early Thursday morning local time, the agency released a follow-up statement.

They apologized for the misinformation that caused the misinformation. There are two points in BigHit's statement. The first is about the terminology kickboard (board scooter) used in the previous press statement. BigHit interpreted the electric scooter as a kickboard.

In fact, the night before, JTBC claimed to have obtained CCTV footage of Suga riding the scooter. The  scooter turned out to be an electric vehicle complete with a seat. Its shape is like a motorbike. And (in the CCTV footage claimed to be Suga) the speed was quite fast. BigHit apologized for previously calling the scooter a kickboard .

As if to minimize the level of danger. "Our agency assessed the vehicle used by our artist as a kickboard . In further verification, we realized that the classification of such vehicles varies depending on the product specifications. Therefore, the scope of liability for accidents may also vary," BigHit said.

"There was absolutely no intention to minimize this issue. We apologize once again for not investigating it more closely and speaking hastily as a result. Once the product classification is determined by the authorities, we will fulfill our responsibilities," BigHit promised.

The second is about the fine and revocation of Suga's scooter license. Previously, BigHit stated that the problem was resolved after Suga paid the fine and his license was revoked. He was also sent home after undergoing an alcohol test conducted by the police at the scene.

"Neither the agency nor our artist were aware that there were further procedures to follow. We mistakenly believed that the matter had been resolved," BigHit explained. One of the largest agencies in Korea emphasized that they and Suga apologized to the public for setting a bad example.

Also causing an unpleasant incident while undergoing military service. "We will sincerely cooperate with further police investigations in the future, and humbly accept the results of the investigation," BigHit promised. As reported, BTS's Suga was caught in a DUI case, aka driving under influence .

The talented BTS idol and producer is reportedly undergoing an investigation by the police regarding alleged traffic violations. BigHit and the agency then released an apology. However, authorities stated that the investigation into this case is still ongoing and has not been completed.

The difference in information has sparked speculation among the public. Many have questioned the truth of Suga's statement. Korean netizens have accused Suga and BigHit of lying by making it seem like the case is over.

Previously, other speculations arose due to the different classifications of the vehicles Suga was riding. In his statement, Suga said he was riding an " electric kickboard ", not an electric scooter with pedals as described by the police. The difference led the public to speculate that Suga and BigHit were trying to cover up the mistake.

Because in South Korea, regulations on electric scooters are stricter than regular kickboards. BigHit also clarified that there was a misunderstanding in classifying the scooter. BigHit emphasized that there was no intention to mislead the public or cover up details of Suga's case and apologized for the misunderstanding.

The agency emphasized that there was no intention to downplay the issue and apologized for not checking all the details carefully before making the initial statement. Suga's actions certainly received mixed reactions from ARMY, BTS fans. The public, especially BTS fans, felt disappointed by Suga's actions.

They felt that the action was not in accordance with an idol figure who should be a role model. Some netizens even demanded Suga to leave BTS as a form of responsibility. But there are also quite a few ARMYs who still give support to Suga. They hope that Suga can learn from his mistakes and be more careful in the future.
