Former member of the iconic boyband One Direction, Liam Payne, died tragically. Liam Payne was found fallen from the 3rd floor balcony of the Casasur Palermo hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Wednesday October 16, 2024 local time.
According to information reported by TMZ from a trusted source, Liam Payne and his girlfriend Kate Cassidy arrived in Argentina on September 30, 2024. The two were seen posting several photos on Snapchat showing them having fun while on vacation.
Kate Cassidy reportedly left Argentina on October 14, 2024, but Liam stayed behind at Palermo's CasaSur Hotel. A hotel staff member heard a loud noise coming from Liam Payne's room before the tragic incident. Someone in the hotel area made a 911 emergency call.
With reports that there was a man in the hotel who was behaving aggressively because he was allegedly under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Another eyewitness said that Liam Payne had previously acted out in an emotional manner in the hotel lobby, destroying his laptop, and was then taken back to his room by security.
When authorities arrived at the hotel, they saw a body wearing a watch with a scorpion tattoo on its stomach, lying lifeless on the hotel deck next to a table and chairs. He is suspected of falling from the 3rd floor of the hotel which is dozens of meters high. The local police are still investigating whether Liam Payne died because he was pushed by someone else or committed suicide?
Liam Payne was just 16 when he joined One Direction, a boyband formed after five members auditioned on "The X Factor" in 2010. One Direction then skyrocketed to become the most popular boyband in the world after the release of their first album "Up All Night" in 2011.
