SM Entertainment has just announced Seunghan's return from RIIZE's hiatus and will soon be active with the group starting in November 2024. Following the announcement, controversy arose where a number of fans expressed their rejection.
However, there were also many who welcomed Seunghan's arrival as good news. In response to the controversy that arose among fans, regarding differences of opinion regarding Seunghan's return to RIIZE, one of RIIZE's members, Wonbin, also spoke up to mediate between the fans.
Quoting from Allkpop on Sunday Ocotober 13, 2024, Wonbin communicated with fans through a long post on the Weverse platform. On that occasion, the idol poured out his feelings regarding Seunghan's return to their group. "BRIIZE (RIIZE fans), I'm not sure where to start. I'm trying to be careful and I'm worried.
However, I feel like if we, the members, don't say something or express our feelings, then you all will be even more confused and have a hard time. So, I talked to the members and decided to write this message," said Wonbin in his message to fans.
"All this time, you must have been wondering if Seunghan would return, and why we didn't give a clear answer earlier. I completely understand that. We also had long discussions with Seunghan and the company. The members thought carefully, over and over again, and I hope you can understand that we have thought this decision through carefully," he added.
Furthermore, Wonbin wrote that RIIZE always wanted to make fans happy, and they felt very guilty for not being able to do so. He also said that perhaps his message could not completely reduce the fans' worries. However, the idol born in 2002 hopes that at least the message he wrote can comfort the hearts of fans who are feeling confused.
"There would be no RIIZE without BRIIZE, I always say that. We want to continue making sweet memories with all of you, and meet you for a long time. So, if you can continue to support us and see us with warm hearts, it will give us a lot of strength. We will work hard to make RIIZE a group that BRIIZE can be proud of," he concluded.
Meanwhile, following the announcement of Seunghan's return to activities with RIIZE, the idol personally wrote a long handwritten letter to fans. He once again apologized for the controversy that occurred, and promised to work hard and become a good member of RIIZE.
