Two days after the initial announcement, SM Entertainment has now announced that Seunghan is leaving the group RIIZE. This news was shared by Wizard Production, the division that handles RIIZE, which shared it via social media.
Wizard Production explained that Seunghan expressed his desire to leave the group for the sake of the members and fans. “We apologize for hurting BRIIZE (RIIZE fans) and causing confusion through our announcement of Seunghan’s comeback on October 11, 2024,” Wizard Production’s initial statement read.
“We made this decision after considering for a long time because we thought that if Seunghan returned after reflecting on his past mistakes and RIIZE showed growth as a group, we could give fans more happiness,” he said.
After the announcement of Seunghan's comeback, they looked at the responses sent by fans and they felt that the news of Seunghan's comeback was actually more disappointing to fans. “At the same time, Seunghan has consistently expressed his desire to leave the group.
We are announcing Seunghan’s departure from RIIZE. We will support Seunghan in the future so that he can show his talents and follow his dreams,” they said. "More than that, we also apologize to the six members who have given their best since their debut and made RIIZE today by working hard.
