HYBE has now become the first enemy in K-Pop after their report was leaked to the public. The HYBE document dated July 26, 2023 contains several sections that focus on EXO's recent activities as well as Baekhyun's personal efforts to interact with fans.

One section specifically highlighted Baekhyun's Instagram live on the morning of July 21, 2023, where he did a stretching routine in his pajamas, which allegedly reflected his "desperation" to keep his fans engaged. The document then compares EXO's Baekhyun's live broadcast with BTS's Jungkook, who also did a live broadcast at 7 a.m. in June 2023.

The document called Baekhyun's live sessions "too casual" and hinted that he may have been influenced by BTS's Jungkook.  The document speculates that Baekhyun's actions were driven by anxiety over EXO's inability to regain momentum post-comeback and notes his efforts as a sign of his "impatience" with the group's status.

The leak quickly went viral, with EXO-Ls (EXO's fanbase) and ARMYs (BTS's fanbase) expressing confusion and frustration over HYBE's analysis of Baekhyun's harmless stretching session. Fans questioned why a simple live was subjected to such intense scrutiny and criticized the agency for what they saw as unnecessary competition.

As the controversy heats up, EXO's recent comeback has fans hoping that Baekhyun and D.O.'s unit can revive the group's popularity.  However, reports emerged that instead of uniting fans, it actually exacerbated internal divisions, leading to a subtle rivalry between Baekhyun and D.O.'s fanbases.

Overall, the leaked HYBE documents and ongoing discussions surrounding Baekhyun's recent activities have further fueled tensions between the two fandoms, raising questions about whether such comparisons are truly justified, or whether they are simply adding unnecessary drama to the K-Pop industry.
