Song Joong Ki is now increasingly open about his married life with Katy Louise Saunders. In addition, the actor born in 1985 has been blessed with two children, one boy and one girl. In a recent interview, Song Joong Ki revealed what language his wife speaks in her daily life.
It is known that Katy is not Korean, but is of English and Colombian descent. "I don't speak Spanish every day. My wife speaks English as her native language, but she also speaks Spanish and French. She has lived in Italy all her life, so she speaks Italian as well," he said.
However, Katy took Korean language courses and her skills improved a lot. "She's been taking Korean classes quite a lot now, so her Korean has improved a lot," Song Joong Ki said proudly. Song Joong Ki also revealed that his wife is adapting well to Korea.
"We are doing well. I am very happy and in love because our second child was born. My wife is adapting well to life in Korea, so I feel satisfied," he continued. Song Joong Ki then told about his wife's activities when he was busy filming and couldn't accompany her.
"Even when I go according to my schedule (work) and my wife goes alone, I don't worry and feel safe," said the actor. Song Joong Ki then revealed Katy's cute side. "Sometimes my wife tells me about routes in Seoul that I've never been to before.
So cute," said the star of the film "My Name is Loh Kiwan" with a bright smile. Previously, Song Joong Ki also struggled to learn Spanish for his role in the film "Bogota: City of the Lost". The actor compared it to learning Italian for the drama project "Vincenzo" in 2021.
"It was difficult. However, fortunately, I enjoyed Spanish more than Italian in the drama 'Vincenzo.' Both are languages derived from Latin, so they are similar, but the rhythm of Spanish suits me better," he said. Song Joong Ki continued, "(The dialogue) It was edited a lot, and there were a lot of lines in Spanish.
I didn't just memorize it, but I was greedy and improvised appropriately. It was difficult, but quite fun. I felt a great sense of accomplishment," he concluded. Meanwhile, the film "Bogota: City of the Lost" will be released in theaters on December 31, 2024.
