Yoona was a guest star on Hyeri Girl's Day's YouTube channel on January 7, 2025. On that occasion, the SNSD (Girls' Generation) member shared her first experience traveling alone. Yoona admitted that she was ignored by other passengers while riding the airport bus.
During the talk show, Hyeri asked if Yoona enjoys traveling in her free time. Yoona replied, "Not really, because there aren't many people around me that I can travel with. It's hard to find a time when my friends and I both have free time." Yoona also shared her experience traveling alone.
"I always board planes with staff. However, there was one time when I went alone. I traveled alone for the first time in years, and it gave me a lot to think about," she continued. Yoona admitted that she realized there were still many things she didn't know.
"I drove my own car and flew by myself during the trip. I also had my first experience riding an airport bus," the "King the Land" star revealed. At that time, Yoona revealed that she was ignored by other passengers. "The bus was nice, and it seemed like no one cared about me or anything.
Because no one cared, I felt like I didn't have to feel embarrassed," Yoona continued. Hyeri then interjected, "Yeah, people don't care. Everyone is busy on their phones." Yoona continued, "It made me think, am I isolating myself for no reason? That experience gave me a whole new perspective."
In addition, they also discussed how Hyeri was able to invite Yoona to her YouTube channel. Hyeri shared, "After visiting Paris for work, I got on a plane to Korea. Then, I found out that Yoona unnie was also on the plane. At first, I didn't know."
"When I was about to get off the plane, I saw a woman from a distance. Even though she was wearing a hat and a mask, anyone could tell she was a celebrity. 'Who is she?', I wondered and soon realized it was you, unnie," Hyeri continued. Hyeri also dared to invite Yoona to her YouTube channel.
"I asked her if she could be a guest star here on 'Hyell's Club', and she succeeded today," Hyeri concluded. Furthermore, Yoona admitted that she was preparing for an acting comeback after taking a break. Yoona shared, "I worked on seven or eight projects for 2-3 years before taking a break.
After finishing one project, I immediately started working on another project, then another. There were also Girls' Generation's 15th anniversary activities, such as filming a music video and promoting an album. After going through all that in 3 years, my body told me that I needed to recharge."
