Kim Sung Cheol recently came under the spotlight after being caught voting on controversial content involving sexy photos of female idols. Kim Sung Cheol was identified as a participant in a poll conducted by an Instagram account that shared slow-motion videos of female idols' performances, which many deemed inappropriate and offensive to the artists.
For this action, Kim Sung Cheol immediately received criticism on social media. Through his agency, Story J Company, Kim Sung Cheol admitted the mistake. However, he argued that he had never followed or consumed content from the controversial account.
"He acknowledged the mistake caused by this careless act. However, it is not true that he followed or consumed content from the account, as implied online. After realizing the account was controversial, he canceled his vote," Story J Company said as quoted by Soompi, on Tuesday February 4, 2025.
"This incident was caused by carelessness, and we will be more careful with social media activities in the future to avoid repeating the same mistake," he continued. Kim Sung Cheol is a South Korean actor born on December 31, 1990.
He is famous for his supporting roles in hit dramas, such as Prison Playbook, The Battle of Jangsari, Vincenzo and Our Beloved Summer. Not only known as a drama and film actor, Kim Sung Cheol has been involved in several musical performances before his debut.
