Luxury fashion brand Prada has ended its partnership with South Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun. The termination of the work contract comes amid controversy surrounding the “Queen of Tears” star regarding his relationship with the late Kim Sae Ron.

"Considering the seriousness of this matter, we have agreed to terminate our contract with actor Kim Soo Hyun," said a representative from Prada Korea, as reported by Soompi, on Friday March 14, 2025.

“This decision was made at the head office level, and as of now, we can confirm that the contract has ended,” he continued. Previously, Kim Soo Hyun was appointed as Prada's ambassador in December last year.

Kim Soo Hyun is currently at the center of controversy following allegations of a past romantic relationship with the late Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor, as well as allegations of pressuring Kim Sae Ron to pay a fine of 700 million won which some believe may have played a role in the late actor's tragic death.

Although Kim Soo Hyun's agency has denied the allegations, brands that have partnership deals with Kim Soo Hyun, including those in outdoor apparel, banking, fashion, bakeries, and major retail chains, have begun taking action.

In fact, some companies have begun removing advertisements featuring him, postponing scheduled campaigns, or signaling their intention not to renew their contracts with South Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun.
