T.O.P finally showed his first appearance after leaving BigBang and YG Entertainment in February 2022. T.O.P made his first public appearance at the TUDUM event held by Netflix in Los Angeles, United States, on Sunday June 1, 2025.
The owner of the real name Choi Seung Hyun was present at the event as part of the promotion of his latest drama, Squid Game 3 , which will be released globally on June 27, 2025. "How are you Netflix fans? I'm sure you're surprised to see me, but I couldn't pass up this (opportunity)," T.O.P said as he greeted the audience.
T.O.P's first appearance immediately attracted a lot of attention and comments, especially from his fans. They said they were happy to finally be able to see their idol again after a long hiatus. " You're so happy bwaaaang!!! You promised to be happy, you showed up and you were active, I was really happy, " wrote the account @xxd***.

He plays Thanos in the phenomenal drama Squid Game 2 which will be released in December 2024. He is also rumored to be returning for the same role in Squid Game 3 which will air on June 27, 2025.
