The soundtrack of the K-Pop animated film Demon Hunters, entitled 'Golden', has made new history. On Monday August 11, 2025 the song Golden sung by HUNTR/X managed to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Golden became the ninth K-pop song to top the Hot 100 chart, following six songs by the group BTS namely Savage Love (Laxed - Siren Beat), Dynamite, Life Goes On, Butter, Permission to Dance, and My Universe, as well as Seven (feat. Latto) by Jungkook and Like Crazy by Jimin.
Additionally, Golden is also the first female K-pop song to reach No. 1 on the chart. This song, "Golden," is sung by Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami. Its powerful vocals and meaningful lyrics have made "Golden" a hit with many music listeners.
The K-Pop film Demon Hunters was also named the most-watched original animated film on Netflix. According to data released by Netflix, the animated film has been watched more than 100 million times in the five weeks since its release.
The success of the K-Pop film Demon Hunters then displaced Adam Sandler's animated comedy Leo, which previously held the top spot as Netflix's most popular original animated film.
