SEVENTEEN fans, CARATs are now getting ready to welcome a new unit from their favorite boy group. On Monday August 11, 2025, Newsen reported that two SEVENTEEN members, S.Coups and Mingyu, were confirmed to debut as a new unit of the group in September 2025.
According to the report, the two recently finished filming the music video for their title track in Los Angeles, United States. This news was confirmed by SEVENTEEN's agency, PLEDIS Entertainment. They confirmed that SEVENTEEN's S.Coups and Mingyu will be performing as a new unit this coming September 2025.
"S.Coups and Mingyu are planning to release a unit album in September 2025. We will announce the full schedule through an official announcement," read a statement from PLEDIS Entertainment, quoted on Wednesday August 13, 2025.
There is no complete information about how many songs will be on the album, but CARAT is ready to give full support to S.Coups and Mingyu. S.Coups and Mingyu's unit will be the fourth official unit of the group SEVENTEEN, following BSS, Jeonghan x Wonwoo (JxW), and Hoshi x Woozi (HxW).
S.Coups and Mingyu are members of SEVENTEEN's Hip Hop unit, which focuses on rap and the rap parts in SEVENTEEN's songs with Vernon. Their charm as rappers is no longer in doubt by fans. Therefore, many CARATs are impatient with the new charm that this hip-hop duo will show.
