Choi Woo Shik and Jung So Min Are a Fake Couple in SBS's New Drama "Would You Marry Me"

SBS has officially introduced its newest drama, Would You Marry Me, which will air in October 2025. This drama immediately stole the attention because it paired two popular stars, Choi Woo Shik and Jung So Min, in a romantic comedy story full of intrigue and laughter. 

Korean drama 'Would You Marry Me' tells the story of a 90-day contract marriage between two strangers who share the same goal: to win a luxury home for the newlyweds. The concept alone sounds exciting, doesn't it?

In this drama, Choi Woo Shik plays (Kim Woo Joo), the heir to Korea's oldest legendary bakery. His character is described as a charismatic man, but he gets dragged into a unique situation due to an unexpected proposal. 

Meanwhile, Jung So Min plays (Yoo Mary), the CEO of a small design company called Mary Design. Despite only having one employee (herself), Yoo Mary is known for being tough, agile, and willing to do whatever it takes to keep her business afloat. 

From selling to managing operations, she does everything herself. In the latest stills released by SBS, Yoo Mary even appears excitedly dressed in a full crab costume—a red mask and gloves—in an attempt to win a design contract for the crab festival. 

This hilarious yet adorable act heightened audience enthusiasm for her character. The drama's tension and comedy begin when Yoo Mary makes a crazy proposal to Kim Woo Joo: pretend to be married to her for 90 days. With their dream house at stake, the two embark on a challenging "fake marriage."

Interestingly, Kim Woo Joo's name is exactly the same as Yoo Mary's ex-fiancé, which adds spice to the conflict as well as an emotional twist to the story. The Would You Marry Me production team stated that casting Jung So Min was the right decision. "No one can replace Jung So Min in this role. 

Viewers will fall in love with Yoo Mary's realistic yet lovable charm," said a production representative. Meanwhile, the presence of Choi Woo Shik, who is known for his roles in Parasite and Our Beloved Summer, is believed to be able to provide sweet chemistry with Jung So Min.

With its unique premise, the chemistry of two popular actors, and relatable romantic comedy moments, Would You Marry Me is predicted to be one of the most anticipated Korean dramas of late 2025. So, get ready to fall in love with this 90-day fake marriage story that could end in true love.
