South Korean actress Kim Ji Won has received an offer to star in a new Korean drama. In a report from Korean media, a famous screenwriter Chung Seo Kyung has sent an early draft of the script of the drama titled Detective Park Mi Ok (working title) to Ji Won.
Kim Ji Won's agency, HighZium Studio, also responded. They stated that this is one of the projects Kim Ji Won is considering. " Detective Park Mi Ok is one of the projects she has received an offer for and is currently reviewing," a statement from Kim Ji Won's agency stated.
This drama marks another collaboration between Chung Seo Kyung and director Kim Hee Won, who recently worked together on the Disney+ series Tempest . Detective Park Mi Ok is based on the real-life figure of Park Mi Ok, Korea's first female detective.
Chung Seo Kyung is known as a screenwriter through several of her works such as Flower of Evil, Thirst, Mother, I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK and Little Women. Kim Ji Won last wowed fans with the drama Queen of Tears.
Kim Ji Won played the female lead, acting alongside Kim Soo Hyun, Park Sung Hoon, Kwak Dong Yeon, and Lee Joo Bin. Now she is also preparing to start filming his latest drama, Doctor X: Age of the White Mafia at the end of next year.
