NCT's Doyoung and Jungwoo, will be enlisting in the military this coming December 2025. This news was announced by SM Entertainment, their agency. “NCT members Doyoung and Jungwoo will be carrying out their duties starting in December,” SM Entertainment said on Thursday, October 30, 2025.
“Doyoung will be serving as an active duty soldier on December 8th, while Jungwoo received notification of his enlistment in the army band and is scheduled to serve on December 8th,” he said. Through this announcement, the agency stated that no send-off event with fans would be held as the ceremony was only open to family.
“Given the large number of soldiers and their families in attendance, we ask fans to refrain from visiting for safety reasons,” the agency said. "We ask for your love and support so that Doyoung and Jungwoo can carry out their duties and return in better condition," the agency concluded.
Doyoung and Jungwoo became the third and fourth members of NCT after Taeyong and Jaehyun. Before enlisting in the military, Doyoung and Jungwoo were active with NCT 127, participating in concerts and events. Doyoung also went on a solo tour to promote his solo album.
