Hwang Minhyun has been confirmed to play the character Youn Ga Min in the Korean drama Study Group 2. He played the character in the first part, which was adapted from a popular webtoon of the same name.
Hwang Minhyun completed his mandatory military service in December 2025 and chose this drama as his latest acting project. "Hwang Minhyun has perfectly captured his character. Viewers can look forward to a new side of Ga Min that we didn't get to see in the first season," the production team said regarding the second season.

He attends the worst school in the world and begins to form a study group to study for his exams. However, learning is not easy because they are surrounded by people who use violence in communicating. In the second season, Youn Ga Min and her study group are even stronger.
They will fight against those who threaten Yuseong Technical High School not only with their skills but also with their actions. Apart from Hwang Minhyun, it is not yet known which actors will join the sequel, as well as the release date of this drama.
