Former ADOR CEO, Min Hee Jin, was confirmed to be absent from the emergency press conference held by his legal representatives on Tuesday January 28, 2026 afternoon. Attorney Kim Sun Woong of the law firm representing Min Hee Jin held a press conference at Challenge Hall in Kyowon Jonggak Building in Seoul.

The press conference was originally scheduled to address the tampering allegations against NewJeans and the damages lawsuit filed by ADOR. Min Hee Jin's absence drew attention given the magnitude of the ongoing legal dispute.

Attorney Kim explained that his client's current condition prevents her from appearing in public. "Former CEO Min Hee Jin was unable to attend today," Kim said. "There were issues related to the families of the NewJeans members.

She was very shocked after hearing the recent stories about the families, making it difficult for her to attend." This conflict is a continuation of a contract dispute between NewJeans and ADOR.

Although the members filed for contract termination in November of last year, citing a loss of trust, the court dismissed the claim in October 2025. The court ruled that their exclusive contract with ADOR remains valid until July 31, 2029.

Following the ruling, the dynamics within the group NewJeans underwent drastic changes. Haerin, Hyein, and Hanni have returned to their activities under ADOR. Minji is currently reportedly in discussions with management.

Meanwhile, Danielle has had her contract terminated and been removed from the group. In the aftermath of this dispute, ADOR has filed a lawsuit for damages and breach of contract fines totaling 43.1 billion won. The lawsuit is directed at Danielle, one of Danielle's family members, and Min Hee Jin.
