Korean actor Lee Sang Bo, who starred in the popular film Secretly Greatly (2013) and the Korean drama The Elegant Empire (2023), has passed away. As reported by local South Korean media on Saturday (March 28, 2026), the 1981-born star died on Friday, March 27, 2026. 

He was found dead at his home. The actor, who also starred in the series Miss Monte-Cristo (2021), died at approximately 12:40 a.m. local time. The cause of death was not disclosed at the family's request.

Lee Sang Bo's agency, Korea Management Group, issued an official statement regarding the actor's death. They also announced that the funeral home where the body is being held is open for those wishing to pay their respects, but it is closed to the media.

Hello. This is KMG.

We are saddened to announce the passing of our agency's actor, Lee Sang Bo. We ask for your understanding as we cannot reveal the cause of death at the request of the family.

The final memorial service was held in Room 3 of Pyeongtaek Central Funeral Home, but we respectfully declined to cover and visit the family for the sake of protecting the family and ask for everyone's cooperation.

Lee Sang Bo debuted in 2006 in the Korean drama "Invisible Man Choi Jang Soo." Throughout his career, he has appeared in only six Korean dramas and one film.

Apart from those mentioned above, Lee Sang Bo has also appeared in Drama Special Series: Special Task Force MSS (2011), Drama Special Series: The True Colors of Gang and Cheol (2012), and Rugal (2020).
