South Korean singer Yong Junhyung has officially announced his decision to leave his agency and pursue a career as an independent artist. This decision comes amid a prolonged conflict over fulfilling contractual obligations, which he considers a violation of the agreement.

Through his official statement on March 30, 2026, Yong Junhyung revealed that he had repeatedly asked the agency to rectify the situation regarding the neglect of the main contractual obligations that had been going on for a long time.

However, because there had been no change for years, he assessed that the relationship of trust between the two parties could no longer be maintained. "Based on relevant laws, I have sent a notice of termination of my exclusive contract effective March 12, 2026," said Yong Junhyung.

He also added that the agency has not yet provided an official response to the notice. Although there has been no response from the agency, Yong Junhyung confirmed that he considers the contract to have legally terminated.

Going forward, he plans to manage all of his artistic activities independently without being tied to his previous management. The dispute with his agency, Black Made, actually began to become public knowledge in June of last year. At that time, Yong Junhyung revealed that he was unilaterally asked to leave the company.

In addition, the agency also demanded that he repay the investment funds from the distributor as well as the nominal compensation determined unilaterally by the company. Closing his statement, Yong Junhyung expressed his gratitude to the fans and promised to greet the public again with a better image and work in the future.
