Oppo has unveiled a new smartphone under its A-series as India’s most affordable 5G phone. Dubbed as Oppo A53s 5G, it comes with a Mediatek Dimensity 700 chipset, triple rear cameras, and a 5000mAh battery.
The Oppo A53s 5G smartphone comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ display with 1600 x 720 pixels resolution, 60 Hz refresh rate, 88.7% screen-to-body ratio, and a peak brightness of 480 nits.
The smartphone is powered by the 2.2GHz MediaTek Dimensity 700 chip and supports SA/NSA dual-mode 5G network. The handset offers users RAM of up to 8GB of RAM and internal storage of 128 GB. The storage can be expanded via a microSD card of up to 1TB.
As for cameras, the Oppo A53s 5G is an 8-megapixel (f/2.0) selfie camera. The smartphone’s back panel has a triple camera unit that includes a 13-megapixel main shooter with an f/2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture.
The Oppo A53s 5G runs on Android 11 operating system with ColorOS 11.1. The device is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that comes with 10W standard charging. The connectivity features are 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/ GLONASS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
In terms of pricing, the Oppo A53s 5G will go on sale from May 2 in India with a price tag of Rs 14,990 for the 6GB/128GB model while the 8GB/128GB version costs Rs 16,990. It will be available in colors like Crystal Blue and Ink Black.
