The Realme Pad came pre-loaded with the stock version of Android 11. When the company announced the Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0 schedule a few months back, the Realme Pad wasn’t included in the list. Now, Realme has officially confirmed that the Realme Pad will not get the Android 12 update. However, the company plans to roll out Android security patch updates for the handset from time to time.

This is a bit surprising considering that the Realme Pad was the company’s first Android tablet, and the company is planning to expand its tablet portfolio further in 2022. On the other hand, several other Android tablets in the segment are confirmed to receive the Android 12 update. In fact, Nokia has promised Android 12 as well as Android 13 updates for the Nokia T20.

The Realme Pad features a 10.4-inch IPS LCD display with WUXGA+ (2,000 × 1,200 pixel) resolution display and 360nits peak brightness. The Pad is a standard 60Hz refresh rate display that supports Sunlight mode. Under the hood, powering the Pad is an octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 processor which comes coupled with Mali G52 GPU. It comes equipped with a 7,100mAh battery unit and 18W fast charging support.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Pad packs an 8MP shooter with 105° field of view for selfies and video calls. On the back, it has an 8MP shooter. The  Pad has a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. It packs a quad stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos, surround Sound, and Hi-Res Audio. It measures 246.1 × 155.9 × 6.9mm and weighs 440grams.

Realme has also equipped the Realme Pad with a micro-SD card slot, so users do have an option to expand the storage as per their needs. Connectivity options on the Pad include 4G (optional), 2.4GHz/5GHz WiFi 5 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS. The Realme Pad comes in three configurations—3GB + 32GB WiFi, 4GB + 64GB WiFi, and 4GB + 64GB LTE.
