Chinese tech giant, OPPO will launch its flagship Find X5 series of handsets on February 24. The line-up will reportedly include the Find X5 Pro, the vanilla Find X5, and a watered-down Find X5 Lite model. However, the details of the latter two are scanty right now. The Find X5 Pro will offer a 120Hz screen, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and a Hasselblad-branded camera system.
The Find X5 series will arrive as OPPO's most advanced line-up of smartphones. The new range will replace the Find X3 series. The company has skipped the X4 moniker because the number "4" is considered unlucky in China. The Find X5 series will boast major camera improvements thanks to Hasselblad's partnership and a 6nm MariSilicon NPU that will handle image processing tasks.
The OPPO Find X5 Pro will bear a 6.7-inch QHD+ LTPO 2.0 AMOLED screen with a 1-120Hz refresh rate, an aspect ratio of 20:9, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The smartphone will sport a punch-hole design with rounded corners, skinny bezels, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. It will have IP68-rated water resistance. The rear panel will be fitted with a triple camera setup.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the OPPO Find X5 Pro will have a Hasselblad-branded triple rear camera system comprising a 50MP (f/1.7) primary sensor, a 50MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide shooter, and a 13MP (f/2.4) telephoto lens with 5x hybrid zoom. Up front, it will sport a 32MP (f/2.4) selfie snapper. The smartphone will pack a 5,000mAh battery with 80W wired and 50W wireless fast-charging support.
Under the hood, the OPPO Find X5 Pro will be backed by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, combined with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. Software-wise, it will boot Android 12-based ColorOS 12 out of the box. For connectivity options, the smartphone will offer support for 5G, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6E, and a Type-C port.
The official pricing and availability details of the OPPO Find X5 series will be announced by the Chinese tech company at the time of its launch, which will happen on February 24. However, based on the specifications, the Pro model is expected to cost around Rs. 75,000. The smartphones will be available in Black and White colour options, and Oppo is expected to launch in more colourways as well.
