Chinese tech company, POCO had launched its budget-friendly smartphone, called the M4 Pro 5G, in India on February 15. Now, the device is all set to go on sale today at 12pm via Flipkart. It starts at Rs. 14,999 for the 4GB/64GB model. Buyers can avail a discount of Rs. 1,000 using SBI debit and credit cards or a discount of Rs. 999 through UPI transactions.
The latest addition to POCO's portfolio of mid-range smartphones, called the M4 Pro 5G, is the successor to the M3 Pro. With significant upgrades over its predecessor at an attractive price, the handset is expected to be a crowd-puller. The company would hope that its first smartphone of 2022 in the country hits the right chords and sets the tone for the rest of 2022.
The POCO M4 Pro 5G features a 6.6-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The smartphone has a centrally-aligned punch-hole cut-out, a noticeable bottom bezel, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It sports a full-width camera unit on the rear.
Under the hood, the POCO M4 Pro 5G is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. At the heart, it runs on Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 OS out of the box. For connectivity, the smartphone offers support for dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, 5G, and a Type-C port.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the POCO M4 Pro 5G is equipped with a dual rear camera arrangement, comprising a 50MP (f/1.8) primary sensor and an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide shooter. Up front, it has a 16MP (f/2.5) snapper for selfies and video calls. The smartphone houses a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support.
For pricing and availability, the POCO M4 Pro 5G starts at Rs. 14,999 for the 4GB/64GB model and goes up to Rs. 18,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant. The smartphone is available in Power Black, Cool Blue, and POCO Yellow color options. The handset can be purchased via e-commerce platform website Flipkart in India starting today.
