Chinese tech company, Realme launched a new entrant to the series—called the Realme 9—in India today, after launching several Realme 9 series smartphones over the past few weeks. As for the key highlights, the Realme 9 features a 6.4-inch AMOLED panel, a Snapdragon 680 processor, a 108MP main camera, and a 5,000mAh battery.
The Realme 9 features a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the smartphone comes equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor, which is paired with up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage. The device runs Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0 skin out of the box and will get two major Android OS updates in the future.
In terms of optics, the Realme features a left-aligned punch-hole-shaped display cutout to house the 16MP front-facing camera. On the rear, the smartphone has a 108MP main camera (Samsung ISOCELL HM6), an 8MP 120-degree ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. It can record Full HD 1080p 30fps videos using front-facing and rear-facing cameras.
Coming to the battery of the smartphone, the Realme 9 has a 5,000mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging. Other features of the phone include an in-display fingerprint reader, GPS, dual-SIM card slot, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device is available in three colour variants—Meteor Black, Stargaze White, and Sunburst Gold.
The Realme 9 price in India starts at ₹17,999 for the base variant. It is available in two memory configurations. The base variant comes with 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage and is priced at ₹17,999 (₹15,999 in the first sale), while the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at ₹18,999 (₹16,999 in the first sale). It will go on sale for the first time on April 12 at 12:00 PM IST via e-commerce platform store Flipkart.
