Ten is the next NCT member who will release SM Station: NCT LAB titled Birthday. SM Entertainment has officially announced that Ten will be releasing the new song "Birthday" next week as the latest installment in SM STATION's ongoing "NCT LAB" project. To kick off the release of TEN's new single "Birthday",
'SM Station' has released a set of dark and edgy concept photos, showing an alluring and charming mood. This will mark the release of the newest 'SM Station: NCT LAB' in about 2 months, since Jaehyun's "Forever Only" was released last August. 'Birthday' will be the next song in the series of NCT Lab projects which will be released on October 26 at 18.00 Korean time or 16.00 WIB.
Previously on January 28, SM Entertainment had officially announced their new project, NCT LAB, which will be a similar project to SM Station that will give all NCT members the opportunity to release their own original projects, either as soloists or as separate units. This is a very exciting announcement for NCTzens, as the project will allow the members to showcase their talents, personal styles, and exciting new unit combinations that were previously impossible to see.
The first song that was announced for this project was 'Child' which was performed solo by Mark, an NCT member in the subunit NCT 127 as well as NCT Dream which was released last February 4. Meanwhile, 'Birthday' is the fifth song released under the NCT Lab project, after Jaehyun's 'Forever Only' in August; Taeil, Kun, and YangYang's 'Rain Day' in July; Mark, Doyoung and Haechan's 'CoNEXTion (Age Of Light)' in March and Mark's solo single 'Child' in February.
Meanwhile, 'Birthday' became Ten's second project in SM Station after some time ago he released 'Paint Me Naked' to be exact on August 10 last year. 'Birthday' is an R&B dance song with minimal repetitions of drums, marimba sounds, and dynamic drops in the bridge of the song which creates a dreamy atmosphere. Having romantic lyrics, 'Birthday' describes a day together with a lover like a happy birthday. Ready for Ten's next solo song?
