Park Seo Joon will be opposite Brie Larson in The Marvels. The role of the actor from South Korea was also revealed. The Marvels is a sequel to Captain Marvel which is part of phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Brie Larson will return as Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel. The film has already completed shooting in April 2022.

If nothing changes, The Marvels will open on July 28, 2023. Until now, Park Seo Joon hasn't talked much about his role in The Marvels. However, a leak from DanielRPK said that the actor will play a character named Yan. He is a prince who comes from the planet Aladna. The planet is known to have a unique tradition, namely its citizens speak with melodies or sing.

Aladna also has a law that is no less unique. Only the women are allowed to choose partners, while the men do not have the freedom to do the same. Yan's meeting with Captain Marvel occurred when he was forced to marry a woman who won the battle. Captain Marvel gets involved in the fight and gets the chance to become Yan's partner.

But in the end, Captain Marvel gave all decisions to Yan. Regarding this, both the MCU and Park Seo Joon still choose to remain silent. Meanwhile, Park Seo Joon officially became the third South Korean actor to join the MCU. Previously, Claudia Kim starred in Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ma Dong Seok in Eternals.
