The Korean drama Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938 starring Lee Dong Wook has officially ended. Like fans, Lee Dong Wook doesn't seem ready to part with his character yet. Coinciding with the broadcast of the last episode of Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938, Sunday June 11, 2023, Lee Dong Wook uploaded his photos taken behind the scenes. 

One of the photos made fans focus wrong because Lee Yeon's actor was crying in the arms of the production team. That touching moment was captured when Lee Dong Wook was filming the final scene of Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938. The actor cried while holding a bouquet.

"Actor Lee Dong Wook (Tale of the Nine Tailed) uploaded the last post, This is the story of a nine-tailed fox going through various eras," Lee Dong Wook wrote in his photo caption on Instagram. His post was suddenly flooded with emotional comments from fans who have followed Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938 since the first season aired in 2020.

"Not ready to say goodbye" commented a fan who wasn't ready to part. "Om, now I'm confused about what other Drama to watch, uncle, how come this suddenly ends, it feels a little too eps" said a fan who wasn't satisfied that the second season had 12 episodes. 


"Season 3 Pleaseee" shouted the fans who hoped that Tale of the Nine Tailed would continue into season three. Lee Dong Wook's co-star, Kim Yong Ji, who plays the role of a reporter in this season, even cried because he uploaded a photo, "I'm going to cry"

The Korean drama Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938 continues the story of Lee Dong Wook as Lee Yeon, a gumiho who was once a mountain guard in his past. One day Lee Yeon is dragged back to 1938 and separated from his girlfriend Nam Ji Ah, played by Jo Bo Ah. It is not surprising that Lee Dong Wook cried when he had to part with the cast and crew. 

Because shooting Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938 took 9 to 10 months. In an interview he conducted with the Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938 crew, Lee Dong Wook expressed his gratitude to fans who have faithfully followed his story as a gumiho. "It's an honor to be able to play Lee Yeon once again. 

I will keep all the love you gave to Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938," said Lee Dong Wook. Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938 ended with the highest rating gain during its broadcast at 8%. A number of fans suspect that the fantasy drama starring Lee Dong Wook with Kim Bum will continue into season three.
