The film that tells the story of the world's most popular four-wheeled racing event, Formula 1, has released its official trailer (one of them) via Formula 1's official X account, @ F1,  in conjunction with the 2024 British GP. On Friday July 05, 2024, Formula 1 and Apple Original Films confirmed that 'F1' has been chosen as the title of the film.

Such a simple title already describes the entire content of the film which is indeed inspired by F1. The film will be directed by Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski, and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Pitt himself, and seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton.

Brad Pitt stars as former Formula 1 driver Sonny Hayes, lured back into the sport to coach his up-and-coming teammate Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris) on a fictional team called APXGP. The trailer shows many racing scenes and various activities carried out on the circuit.

Starting from the team, the audience, the racers' actions on the track, and the crashes are also shown in the video which is no more than two minutes long. Another interesting thing about this trailer is that the song 'We Will Rock You' sung by Queen appears as the background sound.

Judging from the video, it seems that this film will indeed show in detail about the implementation of Formula 1 from the perspective of the drivers and teams. Last year, the film was shot at various Formula One racing locations around the world, with Pitt himself driving a modified version of the F1 car.

According to Collider, the film will also feature the most accurate racing scenes in cinematic history. Therefore, F1 was also made in full collaboration with Formula 1. F1 is scheduled to be released in theaters and IMAX by Warner Bros.

Pictures internationally on June 25, 2025 and in North America on June 27, 2025. This film seems to be suitable for novice Formula 1 fans who want to know what the preparation and hustle and bustle behind the scenes of F1 racing are like. For that, let's wait for the release date.
