SEVENTEEN's S.Coups recently celebrated his birthday in a commendable way by donating 30 million won to an animal rescue organization. Quoting Allkpop on Friday August 9, 2024, animal rescue group WeAct said that S.Coups has once again shown his commitment to animal welfare.

This time, he donated to celebrate his birthday which falls on August 8, dedicating this donation in the name of himself and SEVENTEEN's fandom, Carat. S.Coups first partnered with WeAct in September 2022 and donated 30 million won to help rescue suffering dogs at the Hwaseong breeding farm.

Thanks to her support, the dogs received much-needed medical care and were eventually rehomed. This latest donation from S.Coups will be used to cover medical expenses for critically ill animals recently rescued by WeAct, as well as future rescue operations for abused animals.

This donation will also be used by WeAct to pay off outstanding veterinary bills, providing the organization with the resources it needs to continue its important work. "S.Coups' previous support has drawn global attention from CARATs and fans to the issue of animal abuse.

We are committed to spreading S.Coups' positive influence even further," said a representative from WeAct. S.Coups and his group, SEVENTEEN, have long been known as generous K-pop idols who often donate to those in need. In 2016, just a year after debut, the group donated 13 goats in their name to support children in Tanzania, Africa.

Since then, SEVENTEEN members have consistently supported various charitable activities. Last year, in addition to supporting WeAct, S.Coups also donated to help earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria and contributed to 'Angels' Haven for Animals', a non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of stray animals.

In June this year 2024, SEVENTEEN made history as the first K-pop group to be appointed as UNESCO Youth Goodwill Ambassadors. In collaboration with UNESCO, SEVENTEEN donated 1 million dollars to support youth around the world.
