ADOR released an official response following NewJeans members' public statement demanding the agency and HYBE to reinstate Min Hee-jin as the agency's CEO. Through the statement, ADOR decided not to reappoint Min Hee-jin despite being directly urged by the five NewJeans members.

The decision was made after the board of directors discussed the potential for Min Hee-jin to return as one of the company's top brass again. "ADOR's board of directors discussed and determined that his request to return as CEO at this time was unacceptable," ADOR said, as reported by JoyNews24 on Wednesday September 25, 2024.

ADOR offers Min Hee-jin a board seat. She was offered an internal director position to lead NewJeans' production for the next five years under the girl group's exclusive contract at ADOR. However, the offer will be decided at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders.

Previously, on Wednesday September 11, 2024, all NewJeans members demanded that HYBE reinstate Min Hee-jin as CEO of ADOR due to the dispute between the two parties over the past few months. The demand was conveyed by them via live streaming on YouTube.

Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein, in turn, demanded that Min Hee-jin return to her position as CEO of ADOR. They even asked HYBE and Bang Si-hyuk to restore ADOR to its original state with a deadline of September 25 2024.

"Please return the CEO (Min Hee-jin) to her position, and please restore ADOR to the way it was, not this new, unfamiliar environment with these new, unfamiliar people," Hyein said via YouTube. "If our opinion has been conveyed well, we hope that Chairman Bang (Si-hyuk) and HYBE will take a wise decision in returning ADOR to its original state on 25 (September)," continued Minji.

Danielle also added to the demands by asking HYBE as the parent company to stop harassing Min Hee-jin. She even considered HYBE an inhumane company because of their treatment of the former ADOR CEO. "From a human perspective, I want you to stop harassing our CEO, Min Hee-jin.

Honestly, she is so pathetic and it makes HYBE look like an inhumane company," Danielle explained. On the other hand, Hanni also considered that this tension hampered their activities as idols. This also made it difficult for the members to trust the new management who really intended to help them.
